The Jimenez Group is committed to controlling its impact on the climate

Above all, action requires information: We take stock of our sources of greenhouse gas emissions annually in order to set ambitious and relevant objectives.

Beyond strict compliance with the regulations in force, we voluntarily set ourselves high environmental management standards by being certified.ISO 14001 and signatory of the co2 Charter.

Recycling

Our mechanical maintenance activity is by nature closely linked to current environmental issues and associated regulations.

 

Our industrial waste is sorted at source when it is issued, then are taken care of by approved service providers. The processing and recovery chain is thus controlled for each of our flows.

Reduced fuel consumption

On the road, we aim to reduce fuel consumption by 2 liters per 100.Signatory of the “Objective CO2” Charter, the Jimenez group is committed to reducing the consumption of its vehicles by implementing very concrete action plans:

Monitoring of our fleet's consumption (L/100): our internal IT tool allows us to monitor the consumption of our vehicles with great precision in order to detect anomalies and measure progress.

Training

Two AFTRAL-approved in-house trainers train our drivers in eco-driving.

 

The added value of adopting economical driving is also to bring our driving staff to discover the issues of eco-driving, relearn good citizenship, courtesy and road safety and less stressful driving.

The park & the fleet

Park modernization: 100% of our fleet meets the Euro 6 standardand is regularly renewed (every 3 to 4 years).

Fleet maintenance: The JIMENEZ Group has its own maintenance workshop, provides maintenance and repairs in order to optimize the life of the tractors in compliance with the regulations and the safety of our equipment.

Tire management

Our tires are retreaded and regrooved toextend tire life by up to 25%. Regrooving, carried out in the phase when the tire has the lowest rolling resistance, also optimizes fuel consumption by up to 2 litres/100km.

innovations

Optimization of routes: In order to increase our performance,we are developing a computer toolallowing us to optimize our lines in order to reduce the rate of km traveled empty.

Innovations: We support innovations that help make road freight transport greener. The company hasinvested in more sustainable energy vehicles, always with a view to preserving the ecosystem.

Well-being of employees at work

Management is attached and watches overto the well-being of each of these employees: A well-being room has been set up to allow stakeholders (Shiatsu Shin, reflexology, naturopath, energy specialist, osteopath, sophrologist, sports coaching, etc.) to offer their services to all employees who want it.

These well-being actions allow the teams to evacuate the stress linked to their activity, the pace of which is often hectic.
